DIY and Make Some Serious Money

I am not sure if I have mentioned before, but my wife and I have been renovating our house for a little while now. Catching those that do not know up, we bought an old stone church style house in the mountains near the city where we both grew up, and have taken the view of it being like an investment property/property development project, even though it has served as our principle place of residence.

So, along the way we have added significant value to the property, both in terms of capital gains aswell as what I would call liquidity of re-sale.. things that are going to make the house a lot easier to sell on the open market when the time comes (or the buyers are biting..)

Our most recent addition to the property was some cedar patio furniture, which we sourced online, like everything else (check the link). And I have said it before and I will say it again if you can work on your “fixer up-er” yourself, and if you can buy at wholesale prices (like you can online) you are going to make some serious money via capital return on your property.

I also think if you can find the premium e-commerce sites (again, check the link for an example) that keep the costs down, while providing the great gear, you will come out even further in front.
