Furniture From Home..

I thought I might take a look at a new e-store for bedroom furniture that I have been hearing a lot of good reviews about from my friends.

There is two ways that I always judge any website. E-store included. Content and design.

And the most important of those two is always the content. I think people will forgive an average design for great content, but they will not forgive an awesome design if it is filled with very average content.

This site is a little dry and boring (to be honest..) on the design side.. it looks a little old fashioned, and would probably appeal to the older consumer (I am talking 50+) and you gotta ask how many of those guys are going to buy their furniture online. Retailers like these guys gotta realize that the target market for any e-store (especially e-stores for people that do not have to ask mommy’s permission to purchase..) has a primary target demographic of 20 to 30 something (maybe 40 something..) upwardly mobile, cash heavy, time-poor, young people..

They do not have to all be professionals. But, the are going to be young. Not old. And this site is designed for old people.

But.. the content is king. And this e-store has a great range, great prices, excellent reviews and plenty of photos (very important..) plus the ability to zoom in..

So. Would I recommend you go and get your furniture from furniture from home?

Yes.

Just do not expect to be blown away by a clean, simple and fresh looking site. But..

Do expect to get what you need. Great products, and excellent information to help you make the right buying decision.
