How to Keep Yourself Employed as a Freelancer..

It is tough out there as a freelancer. Whether you are a writer, programmer, coder, designer, seo or whatever.

Here are some key tips to stay on top of your game and stay employed.

1. Go to industry events - keeps you networking, which is the single most important aspect of any freelancers arsenal who aspires to remain gainfully employed
2. Subscribe to industry magazines - keeps you on top of the latest developments, shows who is doing well (and hiring..), keeps you upto date.
3. Get to know other freelancers - for me this is a big one.. keeps you motivated.. and you might pick up some good tips.. plus freelancing can be lonely.. and nobody really gets what you do.. except others who are doing it.
4. Subscribe to blogs - keeps you up to date, inspires, creates opportunities to be part of communities
5. Read books - ideas, inspiration
6. Write a blog - forces you to stay on top of your game.
