Today’s Marketing.. Opt-in and pithy..

If you are in business you appreciate how important clever marketing can be to the success of you business. Connecting to your customers and developing a loyalty and community feeling around your business is one of the single most important factors in business success today.

The big difference between marketing today and marketing yesterday is that today’s marketing is all about permission. People do not want to be force fed. They want to opt-in.

Ofcourse you still need to use salesmanship to help people decide opting in is a good idea.

I am always interested to review new marketing ideas, especially for small to medium businesses. One that I looked at recently (today, actually..) was SMS Text Mobile Marketing from sendaword.com.

I think this kind of marketing could work extremely well for some kinds of businesses.. basically any businesses that have new information that its customers would like to know about.. that can be published in a short text message.

Pithiness can be very effective.
